Inside the Poker Mind - Feeney.
I'm rereading this right now. It's been a few years since I read it last and having just gone through a massive downswing that has caused emotional change in my game it is simply perfect for me atm. Feeney's book is great. |

Re: so here is the list of books im thinking about buying....
Inside the Poker Mind Feeney's book is great and I highly recommend it.
Improve Your Poker by Ciaffone is also a very good book I'd get both of these ahead of Essays, but not by a landslide and if someone said gets Essays before one (or both) of these I wouldn't argue too much. Between the two books I think Feeney's is better. HOH is tournament based and since you already have vol 1 and are planning on getting this anyways I'll say no more (it is worth getting). Weighing the Odds in Hold'em is also worth getting, I'm almost done with my copy but I would still get the above books first. The rest of the books (Reuben, Wong, Greenstein) I can't comment on because they are all on my "to get list" and I haven't read them yet. Note that if you don't have it I would add Real Poker II by Roy Cooke to the list, and probably move it to the very top of the list - although you may want to wait for the newer version due out (supposedly) very soon. |

Every one of these books are good. Get 'em all eventually.
Edit to say you should get The Biggest Game in Town (Alvarez) for a great non-strategy book. |

Re: so here is the list of books im thinking about buying....
Well if you want a novel type of book, dont buy the strategy or technical ones.
Weighing the odds by King Yao is a great technical book. And Mason essays are fun to read. But if you want a fun read, without poker strategy content, get something else. There is plenty of stuff around, such as the book about the biggest game in town. Anyway apart from John Feeney's book, which was still aimed at improving players games, I have not read any of the non technical/strategy books. Sorry if I cant help more |

This is not part of the strategy books im looking for. |

Harrington End Game is a must, much better than the first, although the first is still useful. The inflection point chapter and his M ratio stuff is a must !!
