Both.

I know I screwed up the whole hand badly, but I was curious about what people would do on the river.

Hero caps the turn and river? Your set of kings was the nuts on the turn, and only behind a very unlikely QT on the river.

I don't call this river bet unless I have an aggressive read on villain.

What, what, whaaaaat? Are you on crack? The only hand you're behind is QT. Show me a Villan that's betting out with 3 to a straight on the flop, and 3-betting it when raised by a preflop raiser, and I'll, uh, well, I'll do something really weird.

Grunch:

You have the 2nd nuts, right? He 3-bet the flop with a backdoor straight draw? I don't think so. There is no way you lose this. Cap the turn. Cap the river.

you have little to fear on the flop and absolutely nothing on the turn. calling the 3bet on the flop isnt bad, especially if you are planning to raise any non-ace or jack turn. i might even be inclined to raise an ace to at least try to get somebody to fold a weaker ace.

you have the best hand on the turn. no need to get fancy, just pump the pot with as much money as you are possibly can.

on the river, i believe you still have the best hand. the villain was putting in lots of bet before the king came and he liked or didnt care about the king on the turn. only hand that beats you is QT, right? no flush draws out here on the board, so you have top set, the second best hand without needing to worry about the QT. go 4 bets on this river.

I think fuji is dead on here. Looks like the turn saved you from a lower set or two pair unless villian is a moran.
