Interesting hand I think in that at table poker I would have done everything you didn't. Fold preflop (instead of calling). Bet flop (instead of checking). Check turn (instead of betting). Fold river (instead of calling). Funny game, hold'em.

Well, don't I feel like a total schmuck. Thanks for keeping it real Tommy. You seriously fold that preflop? I considered three betting but my inner LAG was surpressed by good common sense.

I don't understand why you didn't lead the flop, expecting LAG to raise and knock out button. By CR'ing for value, you are just building a pot and making it more likely that the calling station will call on the turn.

[/ QUOTE ] I see what you are saying, but see the other side of the coin as well. button would call a lot of flops but would fold a lot of turns. I expected the LAG to three bet my checkraise and catch the button for a bet on the flop and force him to call 2 cold back to him, but, the turn action worked just as nicely. the button will call flop raises but fold to turn raises. (or turn bets for that fact)

I can see the merit sof the lead out, but I dont have any guarantee he will raise my bet. Though he is most certainly a bet if checked to kinda guy, and gets aggro when you start checkraising him. So it seemed to be the right play at the time.

Against a guy like this you gotta just hold your breath , close your eyes and call down, a lot.

I normally don't do it, but this is a real good spot to semibluff 3-bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

sorry clark, but i don't think this particular player folds anything.

I second that. Maybe live, but not online. But I think we can 3-bet for value; LAG's loves to represent, so between the times he is bluffing, has a worse made hand or one of 9-17 (let's call it 14 on average) out's come on the river, we should be fine.

EDIT: Oh, and bet the damn flop already!
