I check fold the river w/the next best option betting out and folding to a raise

I hate the bet/fold line on this river.. if you're going to put a bet in, this is a great board for a 1agg opponent to try a weak bluff on. You'll get called a large amount of the time by weak two pair hands or even a low straight.

i want to hear some opinions on this too, i usually auto-call down these button+blind wars with TPGK... though i think the river is a horrible card in this case. who folds here?

This guy is super aggressive IMO, and i'd call once to see if he's capable of bluffraising turns. After that I just stop, since I find myself losing 1-2BBs multiple times per 100 hands that way.

What kind of a bluff is he going to run that you beat? There are 2 1 card straits and a number of 2 pair hands that can be made. What kind of hand does he have that he can bluff you with? any combination of 2 cards between Q and 6 give him a win

Exactly. I didn't say it was a good play, just better than bet/folding. Sometimes you'll get the weird aggro player who will try and bluff a flopped midpair with a paint kicker like this. Not often.

call for info or he is insane but if he raised you on the turn with a Q with a better kicker you're beat and you only beat weaker kickers 2345. Kickers 6-J you lose + any 2 pair already present, and any pair + straight draw you now lose. Not to mention the overpairs + sets. Once in a blue moon you'll snap off a naked bluff but it's not worth it in the long run. Sure you'll throw the winner once in awhile but online poker now is different from 1 or 2 years past. Usually a turn raise actually does mean something.

What about him raising you with a pair plus a strait draw on the turn? I think combination of you being ahead a small amount of time, the ability to improve on river and the size of the pot justify a turn call. I think you can check fold the river here.
