Very well played hand Che.
The crappy thing was that I had the situation read well, pushed the slider all the way to the right, and just couldn't pull the trigger. Maybe this spot was a little too risky, but I am wondering to myself whether the inability to act upon my reads in spots such as this is something I should be worried about... |

fwiw che I dunno whether I like this or c/c lead the turn better. [/ QUOTE ] I'd love to hear your thoughts on why you like check-call, bug. I very much dislike check-call. If I'm ahead, I'm giving him a free card for at least 6 outs (he will almost always have at least overcards) plus any [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or paint card makes me very vulnerable to a bluff. When I'm behind, I'm drawing to 2 outs. This is a way behind/slightly ahead situation, so I'd prefer that he fold immmediately or tell me with conviction that I am behind. Later, Che |

Or he could have the flush draw and he's calling for sure. If he has a middle pair, he hates to call, but if he includes AKs,AQs,KQs, he may do it, because of the odds. Of course when he's making a play at you, he's folding and you win a nice pot. Thats why I think the play in the turn is a little better. [/ QUOTE ] I have to agree w/ both of your reply's. I am reasonable sure that he doesn't have trips, and it is equally likely that he puts hero on a missed AK AQ, etc.. |
