Re: Hand Question
I like the advice of betting less on the flop.
However, since the villain had limped isn't raising to 175 to little and pricing him into the pot? If I raise to 175 he is getting 300-125 or almost 3-1 on this call. I'm not sure that is the best route with JJ, is this thinking flawed? |

You outlasted LordHutty and Gamboholic..so not too shabby, I've seen them win many a tourney. GL the rest of the way.... |

3rd Break
Anyone still in this?
I am sitting short stacked with 3590 in chips. Nearing the money but haven't really had an oppurtunity to accumulate chips. Hopefully I can run my stack up nearing the bubble. |

Push preflop and youre still playing. [/ QUOTE ] I actually prefer the way that I played it as such a short stack that close to the money. Pushing preflop he is still gonna call me with a wide range of hands K9, QJ, Q10 etc. None of which I am a big favorite against. I'm actually quite happy getting my money in as an 80% favorite on the flop to double up. Cards just fell his way... |

[/ QUOTE ] Yeah on the flop you're an 80% favorite, but the problem is when the flop doesn't have an ace, it's a lot harder to push all in so you can double up. But preflop there's 1200 in the pot (very significant compared to your stack) and you got 3500 behind and you're almost definitely ahead. You have to push here since there's a good chance you will get the 1200 in the pot no questions asked, and then even if called you are probably a favorite. |
