I don't remember how many final tables, I do remember it was the 3rd time I got heads up before I won finally.

I wouldn't worry about the number of final tables, because there is a huge difference between getting to the final table in 9th or 10th place, and coming in with a big stack. Focus instead on improving your position each time you make a final table and you'll find yourself pumping up the bankroll.

I've had some wins, but the last four months I've had something like 20-25 final tables and no 1sts. Both 2nds I was all in with a favorite and the chip lead and lost the hand and ultimately the tourney. One of my thirds I was all in with A8 and lost to JT, and if I had won that I would've had a big chip lead (I was in 2nd all in against chip lead).

In other words, I think you can go through a big dry spell before actually winning.
