BTW it is all speculation on her as there doesn't seem to any sources.

On a side note, if I were a political strategist and working at the White House, I'd be advising President Bush to name a SCOTUS nominees as soon as possible to recapture the news cycle and expunge all references to Rove/Miller/Cooper/Wilson/Plume/Novak from the Big Three's nightly news/tomorrow's daily newspapers.

Ah, does not meet BGC's pH test.

Why go for a watered down conservative when you can put a true conservative on the court?

[/ QUOTE ]

FY intentions in your P. Or do you have any evidence of her mediocre intellect?

Sounds like everything a conservative would want except that she feels abortion law has already been settled in federal courts.

[/ QUOTE ]

Weren't many people on the right in the past few weeks saying we should judge judges on their qualifications, not how they would actually decide a specific issue? And those on the left were saying we should ask judges specific questions about specific issues. Because everyone was expecting a very conservative judge who would try to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Watch lots of folks on the left and the right do an about face here. The right will now say we should ask her about how she would rule on Roe v. Wade, and the left will say we shouldn't ask.

At the supreme court we should have the best of the best. Mediocre judges need not apply.

[/ QUOTE ]

If you want the "best of the best", you should start by tripling the salary of Supreme Court justices, to make them remotely competitive with the sums attorneys at that level can earn in the private sector.
