Re: This has never happened to me before
I've gone on real long dry stretches like that at Foxwoods because you get in so few hands per hour. My worst...
I won a pot during the pregame show of the Red Sox game. After the Sox game finished they switched the channel to the pregame show of a west coast game (it was the Dodgers and somebody). I won my next pot in the postgame show of the Dodgers game. So I went over two baseball games without winning a pot. After I won that pot I went another hour without winning a pot before I finally gave up and drove home. |

Go a dozen consecutive sessions without winning a hand, then get back to us. [/ QUOTE ] The closest I came to that (3-5 hrs/session) was 3 consecutive sessions and 3 hours into the 4th before I dragged my first pot, and yes, I'm including blind stealing. That is running "slightly" bad and probably the worst I've ever run. |

Re: This has never happened to me before
It happens on a regular basis, especially in very loose games. That doesn't change the fact that it sucks, but you better get used to it because it will happen again and consider yourself lucky if it only lasts one session.

Re: This has never happened to me before
Though I've gone through multiple sessions like this, one night was particularly bad. I went 4.5 hours and all I won was a chopped pot.
Then I played A9 and the flop came 999. I nearly spit out my soda. It was quite obvious I had the 9, but the others bet and raised me. It was nice. Later, on another table, I got quads again. Still lost a lot of money that night. Anyway, just thought I'd add a pointless story. |

I lost with a flush once.
Has this ever happened to anyone? |

Re: This has never happened to me before
I agree. Happens to me on a regular basis. And it does suck. Winning is easy - not losing is the hard part!
It really makes me question whether I've got a clue. It's too easy to blame it on bad luck ... and I know that is a cop out. So I really have to soul search and figure out what I need to do to adjust at the tables. Play more loose, more tight, pay better attention to others (forget what I've got and mainly watch them to decipher when they hit their 2 outter for a set on the turn or hit two pair or trips). Don't pay off as much - or pay off every third time. I constantly flop sets and/or make inside straights (when I've got odds to draw) and lose. IT SUCKS. I hope it's a blessing in disguise that I'm going through it now and not later when I've fooled myself into thinking I'm better than I really am. |

Re: This has never happened to me before
I went for about 60-90 minutes without dragging a pot, while two-tabling online. According to most on here that adds up to what.. 9 years of playing 12 hours a day live or something? That's a long time to go without winning a pot.
