Hellmuth said, "he's (matusow) is a huge favorite to win this hand...."

[/ QUOTE ]

it wasn't that bad of a beat. He had 2 overs, inside straight draw, and running flush. Phil Hellmuth is making it out to be a lot worse than it is in actuallity. Mike is a 60/40 favorite on that flop. I wanted Mike to pull this off, but that's just the way it goes. It sucks to lose half your stack on the 2nd hand with KK vs AA. I guess it just wasn't his year.

[/ QUOTE ]
Not the point. The point is, the BEST he could be is a 3/2 dog, period. So far as I know, he CALLED allin to, not pushed with the AJ, a HUGE difference.

Really? That would change the problem a lot. FE is life in a MTT, even one as deep-stacked as the WSOP.

Well;

Steve Dannenman eliminates Mike Matusow
Steve Dannenmann made a pre-flop raise to 300k and Mike Matusow called. The flop came [2♣][3♠][5♠] and Matusow bet 600k. Steve Dannenmann pushed in over the top and was called by Matusow. The players turned up:

Steve Dannenmann [A♠][J♣]
Mike Matusow [10♣][10♦]

Matusow was in the lead until the turn came [4♥] and he was drawing to a chop. He could now only take half of the pot with one of three [A]'s left in the deck. Matusow had no luck on the river when it came [9♣].

Mike Matusow was eliminated in 9th place taking home $1,000,000.

Not that this is gospel, but MM making the call makes it a TON better play by other player.
