Re: Best line with KQ...

Well, he is 1st to act, so I can't CR. So, 3 bet the flop and bet/raise the turn? [/ QUOTE ] Woops. Very true. Well, you got the gist of it. Slow down on the flop and stick it to him on the turn. Since you have position this is a much better line, there's no chance of it being checked through. Give him a chance to lead into you when he is probably drawing close to dead. |

Re: Best line with KQ...
If you just call, he might bet/raise a weaker hand on the turn.

The weak/tight in me would be screaming to just call and then check/call or bet/call a raise on the river. The proper line however is probably call the flop, raise the turn and bet the river. I am a pansy though and that scares me...someone hold me. |

I call the flop and since I'm not as good as tilt and Dave, I raise the turn rather than check-raise from last position [/ QUOTE ] You just haven't learned the advanced plays yet. |

Re: Best line with KQ...
I call and pop the turn. Too many times I've 3 bet this and had him check fold on the turn. If he is playing crap and showing down A high, you should get plenty of action from him later too.
Edit: Yeah I don't think check raising is correct here. |

My thought was that if I just called the flop, he would check the turn and fold to a bet if he has nothing. I'm hoping he does have a QT, QJ..etc. and we can go to war. |

Re: Best line with KQ...
you almost certainly have the best hand here. the board is rainbow and there's no straight possibilities. I think slowplaying here is fine. pop him on the turn.
