I live next to the 36th best town in the US. I think it's funny how they put the closest city to the town and Worcester is in the article.

i call shenanigans. two of the top 5 cities are in new jersey (!), and #5 is louisville, co, which is most certainly not that good.

/didn't read their criteria, so this post is likely 100% retarded

Did you ever read that 'best 500 schools in the US' list?

I did, and I was surprised that my high school wasn't on it, until I realized that 20% of the schools on the list were from Florida.

I did a little sleuthing (OK, read the fine print at the end of the article) and realized that they were measuring the quality of the school system by HOW MANY Advanced Placement exams were taken by its students. Not the highest average score or the highest percentage of students, but literally the raw number of AP tests taken.

Florida makes all of its students take AP tests, and subsidizes the cost from town and state budgets.... so that skews things a bit.

My point is only that sometimes the criteria for these lists are pretty stupid.

Naperville Illinois is #3 on the list. I have no arguements about that, Naperville is an awesome city (I live near Naperville, but not in).
