bet fold. Check call is bad, check raise probably costs u, and about check/folding, can u really fold once he bets, could be a steal bet.

I think check/raise has possibilities...but if u are behind it sucks.

1) Check-fold
2) Bet-fold

Checking and calling is the worst.

Checkraise because he'll fold the river assuming you have AQ and got lucky.

Beautiful; however, you would have to put Jim on a VERY, VERY narrow range of hands in order for this to work (i.e. with a busted club flush draw, will he bet out? with a set, will he bet out? with AQ, yes he will bet out but will he fold to the C/R; with AK for a split, will he bet out?). Remember, according to the OP, Jim called the flop bet grudginly, meaning he has a draw?

I like this hand. Thanks for posting it OP.

What range of hands does JB have that he is betting the river and folding to a c/r with *and* he didn't raise the turn with?

bet/fold bc he might fold ak.

its doubtful he bluffs that board if you check so check/fold is the other option.

There are two options here:

Check fold/bet fold. I lean towards the first.

I can't see Brier holding anything on that river apart from AJ maybe..maybe..that he would be calling all the way with. If he has AJ and bets that river, all the power to Brier.

I check/fold unless brier is the type who thinks he can get you to fold TPTK on that board.

Then I'd check/call hoping to see a busted flush or an AK for the split.

Don't bet the river. I can't imagine Jim folding a better hand head up with dead money against an aggro player. Most of his laydowns come early in hands. Will he call with a worse hand? Maybe, but I can't find a worse hand he'd play like this except perhaps AJ suited (not necessarily clubs).

I'd check and call a river bet, Jim is capable of betting AJ here.

BTW, why are you needling Jim Brier?
