Fold. He's got quads 110% of the time here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Just to be clear, this is 110% meant as sarcasm.

at Foxwoods 4/8 if someone is in for one SB, they almost always come along for any number of bets, or anything else you might wager on the hand and they don't need much to do it

When the second A came, I went through with representing it - even if he had a A-rag (he wouldn't have a strong kicker because he didn't raise preflop) he might lay it down.

[/ QUOTE ]

This idea is worse than the idea behind your decision to not raise preflop.

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't raise preflop because I was in late position and a raise wouldn't have driven anyone out (at Foxwoods 4/8 if someone is in for one SB, they almost always come along for 2) and would be building a large pot that would give people correct odds to chase down straights/flushes/overcards.

[/ QUOTE ]

There's your problem. You shouldn't be passive pre flop because you think that people won't call. If you have a good hand, raise. People will think twice about calling. If everyone folded, who cares. You could have easily been outdrawn anyway.

BTW, I'm new here and I hope that I can fit into this forum. I am not a professional but I do consider myself to be pretty good so I hope people take my advice seriously despite my "Stranger" rating.

I also think this is an easy raise preflop.

This raise isn't to drive players out, it's for value and for the informational reasons PJ mentioned above. Read HPFAP and/or TOP, i think both books have chapters on the several reasons for raising.
