Tough break. If its any consolation most players go bust here and I think you made the right call considering the guys history. There's always next year...

I think it's a fold... even with your pot odds.

You got real deep stacks and your up against a guy who called 1200 with 97 suited out of position. Find a better spot. You got plenty of chips and time to make a move.

one thing i'd like to mention (and i'm not disagreeing this could be a fold -- it's close and i keep flipping back and forth about my choice) is that chips are not easy to come by in this tourney. i know if i fold i still have 40xbb -- but getting in situations with a big pot where you feel it is +EV is rare. my table was full of TAGs and a couple LAGs -- definetely tough.

of course, whether this call is +EV or not is the question. meh.. woulda shoulda coulda.

at least i busted erin ness and have a story to tell!

Ouch, brutal hand, I would've called the jackass myself, and then bit his ankles (I'm 5 foot nuttin, so I couldn't really punch him in the face)

When the LAG checked when he could have bet, you should have very suspicious, especially with three of a suit. I would have taken the free card. The call the LAG made pre-flop was not a good fundemental poker but neither is taking crap shoots so early in the game.
