you are taking this a little too literally, i'm killing the guys at the poker table right now..does that mean i'm ACTUALLY ending their lives?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is a bad analogy. There's a world of difference between using a play on words and estimating numbers in sales. When someone says, "I think we'll probably sell a million cars by the end of '05," would you assume that they're probably speaking figuratively? I doubt it...

Wow, he is so full of himself it is literally beyond belief. I watched this twice and still dont believe what I saw. He talks so much garbage that I cant believe it.

"I show up in my own t-shirts and my own sunglasses. I think pretty soon I will show up in the Phil Helmuth car."

[/ QUOTE ]

i wonder if the Phil Hellmuth car'll have wheels or will it hover through-out the streets of vegas.

it's funny when people get worked up on celebrity chit-chat that doesn't concern them what-so-ever.

It's funny people take him so seriously, when it's very clear he doesn't take himself seriously at all!

I love Phil, the more of him the better! He's a frickin riot!!

phil is going to sell clothing. not hundreds of millions obviously but i find it very likely it will turn large profits. phil is a smart businessman, that is just clear cut. i really do appreciate phil turning his negative attention craved image into a somewhat positive attention craved image.

i have to admit that i have hated phil in the past for his disrespect for the game, but he seems to be maintaining control of himself alot more lately and most of his antics are good for poker.

in this interview, phil is obviously full of himself mentioning fame and fortune like a hundred times, but his attitude is good. i thought he broke the iceberg when he started talking about how people of his status start to meltdown from all the fame. it was so over the top ridiculous that i couldnt help but laugh. the people who are TRULY famous dont even say things like that. i just find it amusing that he publically announces his level of status above everyone else.

him being full of himself is good for business though. i hate him for that the same way i hate tony little, but they do what they got to do and im jealous. if people can learn to take phil lightly they will probably find the humor in him, but those that take his antics for face value personality are likely to hate the guy. in general, i have a problem with people who come off as arrogant, but phil is starting to grow on me as he is changing his image for the better.

The very fact that we are even discussing him, he deserves more credit than you are giving him.

Am I the only one who thinks Hellmuth is much more clever business man then people give him credit?
Honestly I highly doubt he is that [censored] up, and just creates the image so people talk about him and when regular joes hear about him all the time they will naturally get intrested and pick his products from wall mart or whatever.

I believ he is just doing same as rock stars for a long time allready, getting people talk about you. Any publicity is good publicity.

[/ QUOTE ]

he is obviously a good businessman, i just don't have much respect for poker players who collapse onto the ground after taking beats.
