i tend to think this is a misunderstanding as well. Don't be mad tho, you had him right where you wanted him. Get even / slash his tires.

Getting mad in general isn't good, especially over something as trivial as this. Getting temporarily annoyed might be okay though.

As far as who should be more pissed off (you for his lying about AA, or him for your statement "I know"), its probably a tie and best to let it go.

As a general rule, in these situations, I ignore everything my opponent says and rely solely on what his cards are. In all-in situations, I've had opponents say: "two pair" when there is one pair on the board; "straight" on the turn, when he is actually calling for his four-outer to hit a straight on the river; and "nuts" to see if I will just muck and give him the pot without showing the cards.

I've learned to stay silent, ignore all statements and just let the cards speak. You've either won or the pot or you haven't. If my opponent says something and then does not turn his cards over, I wait for a moment and just turn my cards over. These emotionally charged situations can lead to all kinds of nonsense, and I don't need to be accused of slow-rolling a winner when he hesitates to show his cards. Give me the pot or give it to him -- the hand is over and I'm not shy about what I've got.

Would this piss you off?

[/ QUOTE ]

No.

I think you're more pissed about beind sucked out on thinly veiled as being pissed about his comment. You likely wouldn't care at all about his comment if he had KK and missed, would you? Doubt it. Who cares what he says? Why not just be happy he put the rest of his chips in as a big dog? Isn't that good enough?

[ QUOTE ]
but what's the difference? Extra "deception"?

[/ QUOTE ]

Where is the deception for what? Table your hand and see if it holds up.

Move on, next hand.

Youre offended when someone else is obnoxious but totally unabashed about your own snotty comment.

Whatever, bro.

No. You are clearly misunderstanding. He puts you on aces, and is resigned to his fate of kings losing to aces. He has no obligation to reveal or turn over his hand until showdown, so when you incorrectly assumed he had aces and revealed what you had, he realized he might not have to show his hand at all.

Quit crying.
