I have an ancient P2 and I use "FreeRam XP Pro" for ram as I am limited to 96 megs and I use "Process Tamer" for managing CPU.

Both are free, give'em a google, I think you'll be happy.

I would seriously recommend you not to run PartyPoker at "realtime". High or abovenormal will get you the same effect, while avoiding the inevitable system crashes that will come when using realtime.

for god sakes, you can get an entry level PC for $160 (check bensbargains.net today) -- what the hell are you doing with a dinosaur like that?

Rebate: Compaq SR1010z Sempron 3000+ PC $129 AR at CompUSA.com Click Here

Hot if you can get it to add to cart withotu cookie problems, however the jury is out on that final step.

Customize a Compaq Presario SR1010z Athlon 64 3000+ Desktop with all of the minimum priced options, reaching a price of $360 - $50 rebate [Exp 9/6] - $250 rebate [Exp 7/9] + $69 shipping = $129 shipped. The tricky one is "none" option for Speakers -$30.

Sempron 3000+ 1.8GHz, 256MB DDR, 40GB SATA, (2)48x CDROMs, Mirage2 Video

No Monitor, 5.1 Audio, No Speakers, 2 USB 2.0, KB/Mouse, XP Home

i don't know about matt but I have a PII laptop set up with wireless can you get me something like that in the $160 range, i don't know how you guys can sit at a desktop all day, I sit in my double wide recliner in front of my hdtv and love it.

So I make due with what I have and the work arounds and free software that is out there, I run 6-8 tables on this dinosaur so won't complain.
