It's brilliant because putting someone on such a narrow range of cards that you can justify folding KK is an amazing read, and the guy basically confirmed it by showing one of the two hands that Trumper should be concerned about, had he seen the KK he porbably would have called, but sitll a sweet read.

How is that a horrible laydown? Depending on how much dead money is already in the pot, I think it's a decent laydown given his read. He had him on either Aces or Kings only. Since he has already has Kings, Aces is more likely. Either you chop a tiny pot or lose the whole thing. If he felt he could win later on, why not fold? It's not like Hellmuth mucking Queens twice in a row.

Vince went on to win anyways, despite this laydown.

Now there's a surprise.

Brilliant? All trumper did is show the guy he can be pushed around in future pots. If you have the mindset to fold KK, you have no chance.

Showing it was a big mistake in my opinion. If the guy is so easy to read that folding KK is possible preflop, why wise him up and encourage him to play more loose and aggressive?

I´m not close to Simon in any way, but whenever I´ve met and talked to him he seemed to be a very nice guy. He had a great run at the beginning of this millenium, winning several major tournaments in europe. But then he hit a long losing period, where he lost a lot of money. For the last 6 months or so he seems to have recovered though.

Very honest article from Simon about his swings in tournament poker

I´d be happy if he could win the PLO event. Tough final table thoug.

BTW: I just recently bought a new notebook, and for some reason I can´t really see anything in these cardplayer videos. It´s hard to describe, the sound is perfect, but the picture looks like sort of an mixture of an Andy Wahrhol painting and an animated film. Other videos work just perfectly. Anyone else has this problem or a solution?
