Honestly I would just move to L.A. Out here you can get a nice 2 bedroom loft for about $2,000 a month. It's not quite "living like gods" but at least there will be less hassle etc. plus I'm sure L.A. has a better night life than any place in Thailand.

all of this is easy to bypass.
we'll have all the money to live for 6 months prior to moving (hence 15k br target date) hotel costs no problem we're renting a house. visa seems easy enough now...i'll look into it...
