Raise. For value.

(I doubt a raise will get SB to fold anything that he was going to call one bet with, so this isn't really for hand protection).

Raise again. We probably have the best hand, and we would like to charge others to draw out against us.

Ok. We raise. SB and BB call. The pot is 6SB.

The flop is J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. SB checks and BB bets into us. What's our play, and why?

Raise dizzle.

Value, knock SB out look like good reasons (free card possibly, but i don't know why)

BB could be betting draw like you said (or weaker J)

Those two should not be used in the same sentence.

Well, technically it was a fragment.

I call. Raising doesn't chase out an OESD, and it might get raised by the tricky and aggressive SB. I don't want him chasing out the ATM, and I don't want him 3-betting me, yet.

1) Do we really mind if we get 3-bet here by a tricky, aggressive, SB, who might have just about any two cards here?

2) The ATM doesn't fold, AND the ATM is the one who bet this flop.

Just two things to think about. There are others as well.

well I think BB range is prob something like

JT(and assorted other 2pair, a lot of common hands hit pretty hard here), Jx, Tx,9x,88, a Q, maybe a weaker pair like 66, and some total bluffs

SB could have a lot of stuff, but most of it is trailing

if he's one that will backdown easy to aggression, I'd be more inclined to just call and let him continue bluffing at me

if he won't backdown, or doesn't get away from anypair, then raising it up looks good
