Re: i cut myself off at 30BBs
If you are at a good table, why leave?, especially if you think you can beat the table? What is the difference between playing now or tomorrow? I mean whatever is going to happen will happen.

Re: i cut myself off at 30BBs
I was about to blind out at today after 60 minutes of SH play at the other new game Party started. I got close to -30, but I reloaded and after 90 more minutes, wound up only 11 BB down.

drop to 1 or 2tables |

Re: i cut myself off at 30BBs
if i cut myself off at 30bb's i would have many extremely short sessions.
100bb's is probably where I will start tilting and it is better if I quit for the day. |

Re: i cut myself off at 30BBs
1. 30 BB's is easy.
2. Why bother blinding yourself out? When you get a good hand you will be unable to maximize on it's win. And if you are down to just 3 BB's and just want to quit out of frustration then why not just get up then and save yourself the 3 BB's? 3. this thread is stupid. 4. Have you been reading Zen and the Art of Poker again?? the author, Larry Phillips, believes in a similar philosophy of somehow magically knowing that tonight is not your night and leaving BEFORE the losing streak gets worse...yet, make sure you don't leave TOO early because you don't want to miss out on your big comeback if you are going to have one. He doesn't really go into detail as to how exactly I'm supposed to know whether the cards are going to keep running bad for me or not. |

Re: i cut myself off at 30BBs
[ QUOTE ]
I read some story about Annie Duke's grandfather or something reccomending some 30BB stop loss rule to her and her sayign she follows it. For live play I guess I could see this being good but online I dont think this is a good idea. [/ QUOTE ] Why? You leave because: 1) You play weaker (or there is a subtle difference) after losing 30BB fast. 2) The others will start to get trickier when they see u never hitting. Got nothing to do with online or live, onetabling or multitabling. * Its funny how a lot of people always starts to laugh when someone post abut this problem. In a thread like this u will always find 5-6 posters who know for a fact that losing doesnt affect them one bit. And they have to tell us this fact every time they see a post like this. Makes me think of myself when I was 18. Noone is as good at driving as first week after he gets his driving license. And even older people normally think they are better then average driver. After a few bears they will only laugh if u try to tell them maybe they arent and take their keys and drive home. |
