what are quick indicators of a good table at 6-max?

[/ QUOTE ]

Only 5 players at the table.

I was on 2 very juicy 3/6 6max games today, hope thats the norm

I also tested out the .5/1 for a bit, very passive play, which is good for ppl just starting SH .. should be an easy game to crush for a bit before moving to 1/2 6max

At around 9pm pacific, I was playing and I thought the tables were full of loose-passives. Right now, at 1am, I'm finding quite a bit more LAGs, or players with TAG-like full ring stats (19/10).

I'm actually OK with both. =) [3/6 6max]

I put in a few hundred hands at .5/1.

- I saw a lot of open limping. If I'm not mistaken that is almost always not recommended. Isn't that right?

- I also saw a considerable amount of PFR%s under 5.

- And I saw a lot of players with VPIPs from 40 to 70. Way too high, no?

- They were mostly making me look tight. I finished at 26/16. Is that anywhere near normal?

My .5/1 stats for last 13k hands are 30/9.5 (4.5BB/100)

My 1/2 stats for 5k hands are 26/10.3 (-1BB/100), but I've only been winning consistantly after making a major adjustment (stopped multitabling) for the last 1.5k. Stats are now running at 29/13. (5.5BB/100)

How should 6 max VPIP/PFR figures generally corrolate to full ring figures? Higher, lower?

For my winrate, I don't understand something: PT says I won $166. for this period. Thats 11.6 BB/100. It lists my BB/100 as 5.84 though. How does that figure?

Poker tracker BB = 2x the big blind

[/ QUOTE ]Duh, of course. I'm so used to .5/1 where 2x the big blind = 1 Big Bet = 1 ($1), that I got mixed up.

I'm by no means a 6-max expert, but the general consensus seems to be that you need to loosen up to play 6-max. This statement applies to the usual sort of 17/9 TAG around here. This does not apply to you. You could probably keep your vpip exactly the same and experience good results, as you are used to playing like this. Frankly, I'm a bit surprised at your results from full ring play with such a high VPIP. Where are you adding extra hands? 20% is already playing a whole bunch of marginal stuff... I mean, Entity and Deathdonkey (Micro forum's resident LAGS) have VPIPs in the low 20s. Maybe it's optimal to be playing 30% of your hands at 50c/1dollar. It certainly seems to be working for you.
