Re: $109s - Are you not committed yet?!?!
Nice post Gramps.
I figured 2.whatever-1 was enough to commit him, but if he has a mid pair he has to know he's crushed after I push the turn. He's not folding a Q on the turn or river, so it doesn't matter if I let him catch his kicker if he's on Qx. (I'm not folding to a J or K river) I never min-raise, but I think this is a decent time for it as it completely pot commits him for the river if he calls whether he realizes it or not. |

[ QUOTE ]
I do. He has a midpair or QJ and will pay off to a halfpot bet if you just let him. [/ QUOTE ] Does waiting for the river change anything though? Pushing was my first instinct for sure, but I don't know. He took the lead for some bizarre reason, I almost want to let him hang himself with it. (though I thought he already had on the turn) |

Re: $109s - Are you not committed yet?!?!
It depends on your read, but almost every time I've seen this play, they seem remarkably unwilling to call the turn but really willing to put you on AK when you bet the river. If you think about it, it looks more like aces when you raise the turn than if you call him again.

Heh. Mis-read your post. We're arguing the same thing.
