"Maybe it's because I've played with Mike when he's in full-on "mike l." mode, but I don't think he could ever fold this here. I think many players will checkraise literally any pair in this spot as well as flopped flush draws. A hand like Ad4d is particularly likely."

youre all having the same problem with my posts, you all know me and my playing history (particularly my laggy try and win every pot losing style) way better than any of my opponents. for instance, the guy in this post i had played with twice in my life and both times i was on my best behavior, folding for rounds on end, and caught bluffing very rarely, maybe once or twice a session.

No, here's the real problem. Your protestations to the contrary, you are almost never on your best behavior, and even when you are it's still laggy. Note that being actually caught bluffing once or twice per live session is more than most live players get caught in a week or more. Plus, you just look like goofy sob and your general attitude is one that makes people really want to beat you, which is only magnified by your natural laggyness.

This is 15/30 live though? And we have a weak read on the opponent as being somewhat aggrssive, but not too terribly out of line?

For me it's like, this is almost a fold if I know for a fact that the opponent is often going to take shots at me, and definitely a fold if I'm less certain about that.

he is checkraising not 1 but 2 clowns. I mean 1 clown and you.
2 people total.

therefore odds are he's not really bluffing.

optimism says he has 2's and 4's.
Pessimism says he has Q's and 8's or a set.

Button most likely doesn't have a Queen (he prob. would have raised you on the flop) but he could be in there with

Optimisim: an underpair.
Pessimism: a flush draw.

I don't like this spot, you have to most likely put in either 2 bets or 3 bets depending on how you handle the turn.

I'll let them run over me.

"A hand like Ad4d is particularly likely."

Optimism at its finest.

Come on Clarky this is the far end of the spectrum of checkraising hands possible. You give typical players too much credit for fancy checkraising semi-bluffs and you give them extreme hands.

It's not a typical player. It's a player mike described as "he plays every hand and he is randomly aggressive"

"you just look like goofy sob and your general attitude is one that makes people really want to beat you, which is only magnified by your natural laggyness."

yes youre right. i almost said something like this in response to another post. nevertheless:

1. my image is not such against most players that someone would assume they should be showdown bound with anything K high or better against me, which would be the case for almost all of the regulars on here. when that is the case with an opponent i make it clear in the initial post.

2. the players im up against are 95% of the time not skilled enough to have any clue how to deal with my laggyness even if they perceive it correctly.

it's not as one dimensional as youre making it out to be. for instance, in this case my perception of my semibluffing opponent was that he had no reason to not think i at least had some sort of hand of value. perhaps my perception was wrong but the fact that he proudly showed what he considered to be a bluff where had outplayed me and the button is evidence to the contrary; he thought he forced me (and him) to fold the winner. which he did.

Forget the one time in your life you were actually good here and muck, right?
