it's pure genius -

and it won't do a damn bit of good - perfectly good illustration of what happens when you govern by faith, but it won't do a damn bit of good, will it

The State's Rights guy in me says they have the right to do what they want in that state though - and Colleges have the right to reject their kids at their out of state schools because they didn't get a decent education in science.

Default Shoulder-shrug and frown

The guy was savage. He was making a joke and a very funny one. You're taking him seriously?

[/ QUOTE ]

I find the Kansas situation totally ridiculous. (It's actually religious folks such as Vulturesrow which don't see anything ridiculous about teaching Creation in schools.)

And I like the guy's savage attitude about the Kansas folly.

But he (even he) has to gets the joke right! Using the pirate numbers as an example was lame. I can come up with half a dozen ideas about pirates-to-world-temperature that would be better than his! And numerically more robust. Or, at least, harder to disprove.

Don't you remember the correlation that was "discovered" between the length of girls' skirts and the Dow Jones Industrial Index? Now, there's true genius.

Actually, I have stated specifically on this topic that I dont believe Creationism should be taught in schools. So, its not "religious people like me". Religious people like me dont think evolution and the concept of a divine creator arent mutually exclusive. Religious people like me believe faith and reason go hand in hand. I dont mind you taking a dig at me but at least some sort of accuracy about my position would be appreciated.

Hilarious. Serious or no?

If it's serious, it's oddly frightening. If it's not, it's a piece of savage work.

Are you serious?
