Dude, you are so in luck.

I'm replacing two of the three toilets in my house in the near future (cheap [censored] parts put in by cheap [censored] contractors) and have been researching.

You can get a really good toilet (tank, bowl, lid and all) for around $130.00 at teh Homer Depot.

thanks man

but i only need the tank (i'm also a cheap bastard)

[/ QUOTE ]

In that case: $40.00

What makes it a "really good" toilet?

[/ QUOTE ]

Better parts, ie, the internal flushing mechanism isn't cheap [censored] plastic that refuses to work properly.

This is how you "get" handy. By [censored] things up. So bring your credit card (don't worry basic toilets aren't very expensive) down to home depot, buy a new toilet tank, new seals (you will prob need two one for the floor and one for the tank), new hardware, and pick up one of those basic pumbing books by the register on the way out. Take one of each of the bolts and screws with you so you get the right ones.
