The rake on the ring games is horrible. 10% to max $5 on a 1-2 limit game is the worst structure I've ever seen. I personally don't think the ring games are worth the trip.
I've never played the tourneys so I will take the other respondents at their word.

Over by Naples in Immokalee, the Seminoles have a Casino that plays $1/2 with the same rake AND a $1 ante. [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img]

Just got back so time for a quick trip report.
Got to the Hard Rock in the afternoon (around 2:30?). Got on the list for 1/2 and 2/2 and got a pager. Played Video Poker for an hour or so (Broke even after massive swings), and my pager went off. Sat down at a new 1/2 game and won maybe one pot the whole time. Bought in for 60 and went to the felt, so I decided to head over to that shithole accross the street for the tournament. Turns out I left my lights on in my car, and my battery was dead. A little over an hour later, I am on my way to the shithole accross that street. I get there to find out that I was like five minutes late to play. Get my name on the 1/2 and 2/2 list and got called for 1/2. Actually get a couple of big hands and after 4 hours end up around $60. A couple of notes: Rake is OUTRAGEOUS (10% to $5 and a $1 Jackpot drop) Dealers for the most part are much worse than I am used to at Borgata. All players besides me at the shithole accross the street were whitetrash. That casino makes the Imperial Palace look like Bellagio. It is my opinion that these games are almost unbeatable given rake and jackpot drop.

You should have played the sngs. [/ QUOTE ] Totally great idea. At 35% rake it's genius I disagree that the rake is unbeatable. I usually play at a local casino in miami that takes off the same rake and I crack it for 10BB/100. Players are just so bad it makes up for the rake.
