Clark, I wasn't putting the SB on hands, I was just letting the poster know that there are only two hands that could be played this way that he would lose to.

Thanks Homer, I missed that, for some reason I thought that he'd lose to J2.

You and Clark make good points. If he lost this hand, it's to JJ, not 22. I'd pop him back too upon further thought.

I called. He had 33 as some of you guessed. I wish I had taken more time to think about it at the time as the only hand he could have reasonably held that beat me was JJ. I knew he would not 3-bet a straight here, not even 56, which left only hands like J2,23,24,33. I think he would have bet out on the turn with 2 pair, but maybe not.

Default gimme a break

youd 6 bet this? yeah right...no mention that your opponent is a maniac is there?

i agree with you on the turn raise though as it would make it easier to play the river...

but not on raising 3 times on the river. the guy isnt that aggressive, nor is he described as that much on tilt. unless hes at the point of frothing at the mouth and sweating profusely while glaring at you with big bulging eyes...

if i thought hed get this aggressive on a paired board with nothing, i may raise one more time...especially if i think he's overplaying the str8 and thinks i dont have the FH...the prime hands he could hold would be JJ or 22...other hands, lesser FH's are possible though, which is why i may raise one more time, but not twice...there was no mention of him getting out of control in previous hands...i think if he raises your 4 bet, it's time to call....

reraise him, the only hand he could have that could beat you is JJ with that he probably would have raised it preflop and tried to get it heads up with you on the flop since he wanted revenge against you. Than of course he might have just called you with his stronger hands and wait it out for a good flop then let you do all the beting till the river. But I still would have reraised

Now I am curious as to how he reacted....I am thinking he probably went nucking futs! After beating him over and over all night long, he finally makes his boat and you beat him with a bigger boat, and the smallest bigger boat possible.

I've been in that seat before where the same guy beats me over and over again, and it drove me nuts!

His reaction was quite controlled, actually. He just said to the guy next to him "I can't beat him" while shrugging his shoulders.
