Re: Hand against Flack 10/20 NL
Ok, so general consensus is to raise more preflop. I'll take that to heart. Flack actually sat down at the table, I did not choose to sit at his table. I'm not retarded. However, I'm not going to stand up just because he sits down either.
Flop I check, planning to raise if Flack bet. He does not cooperate and checks. Turn is Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Action? |

Hi augie,
[ QUOTE ] Any special reason you're sitting with Layne Flack at a 4 handed table? Starstruck? I imagine he's a pretty good player...not the kind of guy I'd want to encounter. [/ QUOTE ] I'm guessing the game was on UB, where Layne Flack plays so incredibly bad, it's hard to believe it's him most of the time. |

Turn, after checking flop, you might as well check now. If you're ahead, he's drawing thin, if you're behind, you don't want him to raise you. |

Game was on FTP, where Layne Flack's avatar looks like some Jedi or something.

Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Check, check. Turn is Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], what's Hero's line now? |

Re: Turn
I bet 3/4 pot... and captZee... I like your attitude. It's the attitude of a winning poker player, I feel the same way. You can't be a top player without being full of yourself, whether you can outplay him or not. I sit with him, and I bet into him with this hand, possibly do it real quietly and show "weak is strong" in your body language.

Flack is not the chip-spewing moron he's being made out to be. He is superaggro and willing to back moderate hands with his stack. (This is probably due to him being a live game specialist, where this is SOP for winning players.) But once he has you marked as solid, he'll do a lot of check/check. Particularly with position. |
