Incredible hand puts me at almost 4K early. Pocket eights with lots of action pre-flop gets an 8, q, q, flop. Lots of action post flop makes a very happy Les.
I came very close to folding my pocket 8s with all the pre-flop action.

You were at my table and that's who I lost my stack to. He had A8 versus my 87 with a board of 88xxx.

On you're hand, thats not even close to what happened guy. There were 4 limpers (I was one of them). You made a pretty big bet to T120 and got one caller. The flop was 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. You led out with about a 2/3 pot size bet and he pushed. You called with two overs and nothing more. Sorry, but I've got to call you on this. You did NOT have top pair.

In my opinion, you should have just checked and seen a cheap flop. There were too many limpers for you to win the pot pre-flop and that's the ONLY reason why you'd raise with AQ there. Then, when you missed the flop you could get out cheaply.

Instead, you made a big raise and big bet on the flop. It wouldn't have been wrong to lead out for about 1/2 but 2/3 was too much. And obviously, you had no business calling his push.
