I'll name more than 5 as I could not decide what to leave out. In no particular order:

All round poker-
Improve your poker (PLO, Bigbet holdem, limit holdem)
Theory of poker (all games)

Limit holdem-
Carsons complete book of holdem
Middle limit holdem poker
I'm sure I would add Ed Millers small stakes book if I had read it.

Bigbet holdem-
Pot and no limit poker
Harrington on holdem

Non texas holdem-
Omaha holdem poker
Ray Zee high low split

Harrington on Hold em
Hold Em Poker for Advanced Players
Super System 2 (for the variety of games)
on a sidenote, it is a shame that 7 card stud played for hi is not covered is SS2.

HEPFAP, TOP, Middle Limit HE Poker, Inside the Poker Mind, Hold'em Poker.
I'll also add a sixth, SuperSystem (1&2) for all poker games.

3. Winning Low Limit Hold Em
4. Internet Texas Hold Em
5. Theory of Poker

*I don't see anyone having listed WLLHE. It is not currently one of my top 5 books but it was probably THE most important book in my learning process when I first started playing Hold Em. For that reason I have listed it 3rd.

In no particular order...HOH volume 1, TOP, SSHE, SS 1&2.
I have not read HEPFAP or HOH volume 2 yet or they would probably be on the list.
