I was able to open a US Dollar account here in Ireland. I would imagine most banks around the world (especially Canada) would allow you to do this.

Ya, my bank will allow me to do that just fine. The problem is that Neteller won't allow me to connect to it. [img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]

Thanks for all the suggestions so far guys.

It looks like I may just have to get screwed out of $30-$50 in exchange fees.

(As doesn't look like I'll be able to get a cheque in time).

For the general vacation expenses, use a credit card whenever possible. They don't screw you on exchange rates and that way you won't need to bring as much cash.
