They let me change mine, I just emailed and simply asked them if i could change it again. I doubt they would ever say no, it would risk driving business away. I know that I would not play there as much if I was stuck with an avatar that I no longer liked.

If you constantly change your screen-name, then how are other players to recognize you? That's part of the interest of the game, adjusting your game to your opponents. If you're a constantly moving target, then your opponents can't adjust their games to your style. And of course, you can't adjust your game to them. I see your point, and its valid, but the number of people using tracking software and datamining can put players who never change their screenname at a huge disadvantage.
If people didn't leave their computers on all night to track what I was doing while they weren't playing, then get some program to put up that information, I wouldn't have a problem with not changing my sn.
