When I close my eyes I just see blackness though, and even when I try to see something I can't.

I guess we each have our strenghts. Me, I can beat 1.00/2.00 LHE at party for almost 3 BB / 100. Try not to be too jealous.

do you recognize people by the sound of their voice? it's a weird question, but I often forget what people (that I've met once or twice) look like, and I'm not sure who it is until I hear them talk. apparently this type of thing is indicative of being a primarily auditory learner, whereas most people are primarily visual.

Try visualizing yourself moving through 3-dimensions spatially. I find this to be easier than trying to visualize something like a photograph, even though I can. But, neither experiences are actually like "seeing" anything. I can definitely visualize stuff though. I dunno, good question. It's quite strange.

I never used to be able to but then I started practicing to improve it. I figured it was making me smarter in some way. This is what I did, I recommend trying it:

Try to visualize some kind of rotating shape. I like to use spheres. I just visualize a sphere spinning and I try to focus on how it would look with light shining on it from some direction or I make it rainbow colored. As I got better at it, I added more shapes spinning.

Good topic. Bad mood. All but one of my broadway/PP hands were losers tonight. Will reply later after some thought. I don't fit in either category.

i can visualize images, its not like real life, its pretty hazy, but they are there. its more of recalling a memory of seeing it. you have the same stimulus, i dont know that you really "see" it though.
