i'm not a huge fan, but the Offspring usually release terrible songs from their albums.

They were the first band that came to mind, although I don't really mind the songs that are released as singles, the rest of the albums are almost always considerably better.

my choice is modest mouse, although i liked float on before it was overplayed for a year straight. i can't stand that song now though.

I think one-armed scissor was the worst At The Drive-In song. When I first heard it on tv that is what drew me to the band, then after listening to all their albums I realized that was the most formulaic hit type song they made.
