On the turn, you don't beat JJ anymore.

Re: 2/4 party hand
That would be a good play, I think, as you're either way ahead or way behind his most likely capping hands (or tied with AK).
I think it might be better against an utg capper to just smooth call all the way, tossing in a bet if he checks anywhere. The drawback is that you probably lose a bet by not raising against the (many) bad players at 2-4 who would cap with AQ, AJ, AT, 99, 88, 77, KQs...and so on. |

Re: 2/4 party hand

AA and KK - Lose. QQ, JJ and TT - Most players will fold the turn unimproved. AK - Tie. [/ QUOTE ] Only thing about this is that even giving the capper that range, the number of combinations are not equal: Lose: AA - 1 combination KK - 1 combination Tie: AK - 4 combinations Win: QQ - 6 combinations JJ - 6 combinations TT - 6 combinations So at least before the turn I would be thinking of how I'm going to win the most money on this hand. |

Re: 2/4 party hand
I'm liking a slower approach on the flop. You lost the pot-padder, leaving you with only the capper.
You are almost certainly a 90% favorite or drawing almost dead. Raising folds the hands you're ahead of... I'm looking to pump it up somewhere here, though, probably the turn in case he gets cold feet on the river. -d |

Re: 2/4 party hand
Actually I'm wondering if I was utg here as I think I played a hand just like this yesterday where I split with another AK.
