After 6 losing sessions in a row, maybe consider taking a break?

My bad run started two weeks ago. Couple of horrible beats followed by a few days of awful play(which cost much, much more), and my bankroll took a nose dive. After another two bad beats (9K hands) I literally gave away money...all in pf with 92o for example. After a few more days of bad play I took a few days off poker.

Now back to my old game again .

Sometimes best to take a break if you're running bad, can be costly otherwise:

Damn, that sucks. That graph is depressing. I recently moved to a new computer and haven't had time to transfer my PT stats. I'll check a graph ASAP.

The beats will still be there. I just want to play through them and go back to running decent ASAP. I don't think it's changed my play, in fact I think I'm handling it kinda well. The losses aren't huge, I think total I'm down about 3 buyins. And I can safely say that at least 95% of these losses are from being outdrawn. Of course I've made mistakes, but normal ones, I'm not tilting and blowing off chips to idiots. I'll be fine.

who can say? I was running at 13BB/100 over my first 10K hands at PP 25NL, and 3BB/100 over my next 10K. Am i running bad now, or was i running good then? Can winning any money at all ever be considered running bad, especially with bonuses and/or rakeback?

This reminds me of a post last yr I think, it seemed that all of the high/mid stake limit players when on a bad run at the same time.

Things were not going well, but I've found the Party $200NL game to be donk-tastic since Monday or so.

I had the craziest bad-beat-day yesterday .. thank god I rode it out without tilting more away.

Aside from that, not doing too bad.

I am actually running quite well. I have found the tables I play to be absolutely great (100 NL, 6 max). Tons of lags, whom I can usually get a seat to the left of makes for great fun.

I saw a $500 stack call an all in last night on the following board

AA3 1 club

the $500 stack had Q3s suited, I don't really think it was a misclick, he had bet 45 dollars into the pot right before he got check raised all in and IMMEDIATELY CALLED.

He subsequently bluffed/called off the rest of his stack and I managed to play a large pot with AA in the process against him.

lol. Not as awful as it sounds. I was CO, EP raised $5 pf, MP raised to $10. I'd been getting cold cards so I decided to push. In the haze of tilt I figured there was good fold equity against QQ, AK, JJ, maybe even KK, plus there were outs if I do get called. After losing that one to AA, I put $100 into the pot with QJs, announced to the table what I had, lost (damn rigged party poker), and quit poker for a few days .

On the + side I made some new buddies that day, they keep turning up at my tables. The plan is to fake a tilt or two and stack them. Maybe ZeeJustin was on to something?
