I don't agree that the 500 bet on the turn makes no sense with AA/KK. plenty of players will underbet turn with an overpair.

You might be right. I just know that a lot of players, correctly or incorrectly, will bet more than 1/2 pot on the turn with that flush draw sitting out there...

Even if we do factor AA-QQ into his range on the turn, I'm sure you'd agree that it goes out the window on the river, right?

It's a very odd hand. Lots of room to make assumptions that can't really be supported or refuted (e.g. his range of hands preflop). I'm just more playing devil's advocate, since nobody seemed to think that there was much room for a call here.

yes I agree it's all out the window on the river. FWIW I didn't think calling the flop was bad, but I would need a read to make a call like that on the turn.

I put him on queens. Seems like he doesn't want you to bet him out and he doesn't want to get away from his hand. Fold flop, fold turn, fold river.
