So no set or two pairs can make this play? A9 actually would be the only two pair hand I see doing this. But a cold call preflop, call on the flop, raise on the turn...especially after you've show a good amount of strength...I can see a set making this play. In fact more often than not, this is standard set slowplay for an overwhelming majority of players out there.

Do you regularly cold call 77 or 99 after a limper and a TAG raiser (Hero) ? I can see it though, but I think that unless the limper is really awful, a solid player would fold 77 (players after him are decent as you described), and maybe raise 99.
