BTW, it looks like the add-on helped pull you through some dark times after the break. You think you'd still be there if you hadn't had the rebuy?

That's kind of what I was getting at, although it's entirely possible that I would have played differently with a shorter stack. Still, I think the moral is to always take the double add-on even when it doesn't make perfect mathematical sense.

I seem to recall Fossilman saying something about taking addons is always correct unless you already have would would be an average stack for when the field narrows to in the money. Which at the first break means "absolutely gigantic stack!!"
