I hear you Justin....Except £££££ =/= $$$$$
Thats easier said than done with the 2001's... They are £400+ each over here.......thats ~$700... I spoke to Busterstacks about shipping them...and there is always the ebay option.... I don't mind having slight overlap.....2560x1024 is fine by me as its currently the setup I have at work on 2x19" LCDS... I know everyone talks about 2001's being the be all and end all....But as someone mentioned all that get-up for a poker machine seems a bit OTT....I'm not too fussed about that...I just look at it...that should I get the 19's and be done with them..... My home has 2 laptops and 2 desktops currently in use.....When I get mine built - There will always be a home for 2 screens should the need arise in the future....And then I could upgrade..... Is this just illogical thinking.... |

If you can't afford to get 2 1600x1200 LCDs(even in UK), then you need to spend less on a poker-only computer. 1 1600x1200 monitor is better than 2 monitors of lower res.
2 19-in 1600x1200@75Hz capable CRTs, a cheaper video card and a cheaper processor(probably cheaper mobo also) for starters. Look into AMD's offerings. I would also go w/ 1 gb ram. You can get by with less, but RAM is more helpful to poker than a better video card or processor. |
