If the people behind you and/or blinds are loose I think the cold-call is fine.

Ah, I semi-forgot about your position. Okay, that makes it suck a little more, but it's still probably alright.

I'd fold preflop to raise with this hand. Just calling on the flop might be better to get more money in the pot, but as its micro and a lot of passives who will call on the flop with anything then the raise is ok. The turn is fine i'd keep betting you have a lot of outs and could easily have the best hand as well. Bet the river CO probably missed any draw, but could call anyway because of the size of the pot. Suppose trying to induce a bluff on the river is an option but the CO hasnt shown any aggression all through the hand so he may not bite.

Grunch-post.
I would fold this pf, unless I knew that MP2 was raising light. Rest of the hand looks fine to me.

This is not a good enough starting hand to cold call a raise with.

[/ QUOTE ]

well thats not totally true, but i know what you mean. it's not good enough to be the first coldcaller (first caller even) in middle position. if there were 3 limpers before the raise and we were in late position this hand would be ok i think, or if there were a few people coldcalling before us.

is that right? or is this always wrong.

Yeah I'm changing to my vote to a preflop fold as well, as our relative position sucks and there's maybe 1 or 2 fewer people in than we would like. But this is somewhat table dependent.

Saying "it's not a good enough hand to cold-call a raise with" is not good though, in my opinion. Especially at $.05/.10, if Villain raised in EP, and 3 people cold-called, I would very much like to play many suited cards above ten (e.g. JTs, QJs, KJs, this).

I agree...with more callers, I think a call is okay...I didn't mean to sound black and white in my decision.

jim it was more me wanting to check my logic than wanting to prove someone else wrong. you're right, here its a clear fold. but since ive been playing it to raises rarely in the correct situations i just wanted to run that by people and see what they thought.

Fold this preflop.

Flop raise looks good.

Turn bet looks good.

Bet the river.
