Re: Do sunglasses/Ipod automatically make someone a douche? (B&M x-pos
[ QUOTE ]
The general consesus seems to be that sunglasses and hooded sweatshirts and anything that make you seem more serious/imposing are bad for the game because it kills the loose, fun, gambling atmosphere and prompts people to play better against you (even if that's just folding a few extra trash hands, etc). [/ QUOTE ] This almost makes sense in theory, but in practice I don't see it. I've never played live against someone wearing a hood, but the sunglasses aren't intimidating anyone. The bozos that are actually trying to put on that intimidating image just get laughed at most of the time, and ignored the rest of the time. iPods, OTOH, can be a real problem when you've got some bozo that can't keep up with the action while listening to his music. |

Dan, are you Daisuke's friend Dan? Have we played together live? [/ QUOTE ] I don't know anyone named Daisuke, but if you play 6-12 to 40/80 at the Oaks, Bay 101, AJ's, or LC, there's a good chance we have. Dan |

Nope, different Dan S. Anyway, both of you like to play live. It's a longshot that we played together because I play online the vast majority of the time.

I don't think I can ever recall a fishy player busting out an ipod. Sunglasses, well, that is another story.
