Checking may not be bad either. If he's got AA or KK, I'm not sure what he's up to. If he has QQ or TT he's gone into ultra-tricky slowplay mode. If he has AK he's calling our bet. Only JJ might fold if we bet here.

Then again, betting may allow us to check-through the turn. Now I've out-thought myself.

I also just realized we have no reads, so there are possibly more hands we are ahead of here, like AJ or 88.

I'd bet the flop.

If I'm checkraised by the BB I'll fold. If I'm checkraised by MP I'll probably call and evaluate on the turn, but I'm ok with folding there too. Being new to the table and MP being unknown makes me want to call down if we're headsup because of his weird play, if the BB is still in it I'm way more likely to fold.

If I bet the flop, no one checkraises me, and its checked to me on the turn, I would bet if it's headsup, probably bet if it's still 3way.

If I've been betting the whole way and its headsup to me on the river, I'll bet again but check if it's 3way. If I've checked the turn, I'll call 1 bet on the river but not overcall.

I think I've covered all bases here. I'm not sure why anyone wants to bet the flop and then check the turn. That makes no sense. If anyone is drawing, you don't want to give him a free card, if he has JJ or the other unlikely 99 you want to give him another chance to fold. I'd much rather bet the turn and take the free showdown than have to make a tough decision on the river.

Have to admit, I forgot about the BB. His presence makes me like betting more.

I know, I think I'm starting to confuse myself. I just think if you check and you somehow are ahead, you're not gonna know where you're at on the turn if they decide to take the initiative and bet. So, betting may lose one of them, or let you know immediately where you're at if they wake up and raise. But then again, against 2 players in on a preflop-capped pot, what are you ahead of. Man, this is giving me a headache.

Bet. I'd call a raise, and re-evaluate based on what hits.

If called, I would also re-evaluate based on what hits on the turn and the action. If something like a J falls, and it is checked to me, I will check behind and call 1 on the river.

I bet-fold, as I told you on AIM.

Also, since jason requested my presence in this thread, I just want to let it be known that I 8-tabled 3/6 for 9 hours today, hit quads SIX times, and came out about 15 BB ahead (at my low point, I was about -100 to -120 BB for the day). Baffling.

Anyway, yeah. I bet-fold this flop and, assuming it's not a 9 on the turn, same there. Although if it's an A, K, or J on the turn, I'm check-folding.

I will post my thoughts after the hand has played out. Let's move on.

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
MP raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, MP caps, Hero calls, BB calls.

Flop: (12.50 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, MP checks, Hero checks.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, MP bets, Hero....

The best solution, I think, was to uncheck auto-post blinds.
