Default Re: JJ in first hand of $11 SnG

This is an interesting PF decision.

I never played a $11 so don't know what typical players would raise 100 in the SB with. At my limits it is typically a strong ace or a pair. 3 players have shown weakness maybe AJ is trying to win right here. Or maybe he has QQ. You have to define a range for him. For most players I think your JJ will be a significant fav vs. his range. If you get other callers the value of your JJ falls quickly. (I think the prospect of one of the limpers having you dominated with a bigger pair is very very very small)

If you agree with my analysis then you have 2 options:

a) raise an amount large enough to get everyone else to fold , maybe somewhere bwetween 350 and all in. I would not raise all in here if I wouldn't also raise AA all in here sometimes.

or

b) call and hope for more callers. Play JJ for set value.

Both of these strategies have merit and I will do both depending on table and randomizing play.

I think allin brings the most $/hr. Considering the callingrange of 11$ sng's. Folding is the 2nd best option in my opinion.
