Only thing I would do differetly would be to double his bet. That way it looks a little like you may be stealing.

Are you talking about min-raising? How would that help me play the hand in later streets?

Its a min raise ... of about 3/4 of the pot. I dont like your call of 8BB Preflop even it it was standard. With that flop, you are looking to make your oppoents make a mistake. It would be a mistake to call your 3/4 pot bet raise. If he doesnt call, you win. My response wasnt about other streets, but getting your oppoent to make a mistake and call your flop bet by making it somewhat look like a steal.

Yes, that is pretty standard. Being in position I would probably call the flop, and pop the turn (unless you are fearful of the club, which is probably unlikely here). Overall though you probably want to be consistent playing the hand on flop the same way you would play a nut draw.

I would most definitely do it with the nut flush draw.

i knew you would. so in this particular hand i'd have ~$500 in the back. If he calls, pot is $250.

Thabadguy, if you were representing a set, would you push or pot the turn?

It's a 1/2 live game. This player is probably bad, so he doesn't have a K here. You can't extract more on this hand.

If you put villian on much anything decent, I like leading the flop.

If he calls, lead any turn card, being cautious if it's a club.

If he raises, three bet if you think he'll cal or is on a draw, or go for the old stop and go, betting 2/3 - the pot.
