Is 8BB/100 sustainable?

No seriously youre not the only one thinking those terms. I am seriously wondering if I even know how to play the game...

Just last night I finally snapped a cold streak similar to that. Dropped about 150 BB over about 40000 hands. Worst run Ive had yet. May seem tame to some but it was really tough. I dont think Ill ever look at "im running bad" posts the same again. It truly stinks to be running bad.

I dropped 120 BB over 200 hands, but I think it was just variance and not a downswing. I gained it all back in the next 2 hours.

For perspective, my two worst runs have been:

-280 BB at 1/2 full and 6-max over about 6,000 hands.
0.3 BB/100 for 20,000 hands at 2/4.

Right now I'm just on a 12k breakeven stretch. It is only noteworthy because I recently moved up in levels.

What do you mean for perspective? Isn't it worse when it occurs over a fewer number of hands?

I don't think so. I've dropped close to 100 BB in a day before... didn't trouble me nearly as much as not winning for 20k hands.

With the sudden downswing, you are probably taking a lot of beats. With a 20k breakeven stretch, you begin to wonder if you're a fish.

That's true. I do take a lot of beats, but that's a good thing. I've only given out a couple in the past week.
