[ QUOTE ] I'm ... and deifnetly folding the turn. [/ QUOTE ] leaving money at the table. Adam [/ QUOTE ] SLIGHTLY true. Getting 8:1 on what I consider an 8.2:1 shot. But Im discounting his overs to about 1 at most. I give him 5 outs, but I can see an argument where 6 might be better. either way its pretty marginal. But I do agree. At 8BBs...like I said two post above I will check/call this turn and check/fold the river UI. |

Adam [/ QUOTE ] but not matter which way we improve, our hand could very well be second best many times [/ QUOTE ] That's why we discount our outs. Keep in mind: we're folding unimproved we're betting/check-raising if a ten comes we're probably just calling if a K or Q comes. Adam |

Re: KQ vs tough player
I said earlier in the thread that I don't think Villain is scared of the ace on the turn. It has since occurred to me that, given the action at the moment when the ace falls, Villain could just have the same hand you do, in which case he wouldn't be so happy about the ace.
I'd still check-call the turn, though. I'm worried about AK, AA, and JJ. |

Re: KQ vs tough player
I really dislike the flop check/raise. If we call preflop, which I'm not sure of, I want to take some extra players with me to the river when I get this flop. Therefore, I'm either check/calling the flop or bet/calling.
Edit: I forgot we were in the SB. preflop seems fine. Will someone explain to me why we want to thin the field on this flop when we could very well be behind versus villain? |

Re: KQ vs tough player
I will echo some of the others and vote "Nay" on the turn bet.
P.S. I'm not crazy about the preflop call either. |
