If the A and K on the river were bad cards for me then I would have been ahead going into the river unless the SB has specifically x7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] .

I object to this post for three reasons:

1) You have two opponents.

2) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] would hurt you too. Granted it looks like he doesn't have that, but if we're enumerating the hands he might have that currently beat you and still do when the A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] falls we must include it.

3) x7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] isn't especially specific now is it?

To be honest it's just the phrasing that got to me. So Sklansky it hurt.

Guy.

I think this play would be OK if it was just you and the SB. The problem is the button is in there with god knows what. Maybe he has the 8 and is slowplaying, or the spades and won't fold or a jack. Good play, good idea. Just wrong spot for it, I think. I don't think the play is terrible, though. It's a good try, just maybe not exactly the right situation for it.

I'm really up in the air about the hand and just wanted to post it to see what others thought.

That was one of my at the time reasons for raising. The button was quite loose so while sometimes he will have a hand many times he will not here. But it is quite possible i'm underestimating the times that he has me beat.

Unlikely enough for me to rule out that a seemingly reasonable player that raises 22% of his hands would not hold AA.

x [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is a fairly specific holding to me.

Again, I'm not really saying that I like raising this turn just playing the devil's advocate role and wanted to weight the pros and cons. Just curious what would your turn play have been?
